Awarded to the biggest four flounder – This is the combined weight (tie broken by combined length) of four flounder from one boat caught by one or multiple anglers on the boat.
Registration must be turned in by 5 pm Monday July 4th, 2022. No Late Registrations
Pavilion - Friday July 21st, 2023 at 7:30 pm
Start time will be 4:30 AM and all anglers will register at weigh in no later than 3:00 PM. All anglers will receive an angler number tag, which must be in the hands of designated tournament staff by 3:00 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3:00 PM on the beach (stage) of Tuckahoe. All fish will be measured and weighed. Last man standing wins by weight. Only 1 fish per Angler may be weighed in. Fish may be brought in on ice or water to keep fresh. All weights are final.
Bay - Any waters inside the Indian River Bridge. (No canal running to get outside the Bay)
Ocean – Any waters outside the Indian River Bridge.
Rain or Shine. If conditions are deemed unsafe by Tournament Committee, the tournament can be postponed until the next safe day of fishing.
1 Legal Size Flounder may be weighed in and considered for payout. Fish swapping and fish sharing are PROHIBITED. Payouts will be based on number of anglers. 100% payout. Winner will be declared by heaviest flounder. All ties will be broken by length. If weight and length are a tie, the winners will split the winnings. Decisions of the Tournament Committee as to winner shall be final. One non-monetary prize package will be awarded to an angler 15 and under with the largest flounder by weight (tie broken by length).
All anglers are asked to practice good sportsmanship. The tournament and any sponsors are not responsible for the conduct, personal injury, damages, or negligence on the part of any participant.
The tournament is held in compliance with any applicable laws governing the state of Delaware and the United States of America. All State and Federal Size Regulations, Permits, and Licensing apply to all boats and anglers entered. ALL LAWS MUST BE FOLLOWED. The Tournament Committee reserves the right inspect any boat entered in competition without notice.
FISHING: Anglers may fish from bank or boat. Boats may not exceed four anglers.
All anglers will receive an angler tag number. Angler tag numbers will be distributed at the meeting or picked up in the Tuckahoe store Friday, July 16th. This tag is to be handed in to designated tournament staff by 3:00 PM.
BAY ONLY - All fish caught and weighed in must have their photo taken alongside angler’s number tag to ensure date of catch. (Held up inside bay would insure accurate proof of catch)
The mystery fish will be drawn during captains meeting. If a mystery fish is not caught the moneys will be added to the Flounder pot.
Any age is considered an angler
All fish must be caught. No spearfishing or bow-fishing allowed. Any and all lures must be removed from the fish prior to weigh in.
Any tournament protest is $100 and proof of violation must be handed over for review. The Tournament Committee shall have the right to rule and decide on any dispute.
All boats or bank fisherman must display flagging provided by tournament officials. This will help directors evaluate anglers while fishing.
